NHSC recommendations for SkinConditions (Psoriasis, Eczema, Rosacea)

What is it?

• Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory disorder of the skin. It is not contagious. It results from an abnormally rapid multiplication of the cells of the epidermal layer of the skin.
• Eczema, or dermatitis as it is sometimes called, is an inflammatory skin disorder. The severity of this disease can vary. In mild forms the skin is dry, hot, and itchy. In the more severe cases, the skin can become broken, raw, and bleeding. It is not contagious, but can become very unsightly.
• Rosacea is clinically defined as a chronic skin disease that causes redness and swelling, primarily on the face.
• Some skin conditions are associated with extreme itching, chaffing, cracking, burning, and scaling. These conditions cause extreme discomfort, and unsightliness. They may be due to the factors listed above, or to immune issues, digestive issues, or toxins that the body cannot easily drive out of the system.

Causes
Skin Irritation appears to be caused by a mysterious combination of factors in sensitive individuals. These factors include:

• Stress or emotional feelings
• Temperature or humidity changes
• Allergies (mold, dust, pollen, animal dander, etc.)
• Chemical sensitivity to perfumes, soaps, pesticides, detergents, chlorine
• Air pollution
• Physical irritants, such as clothes made of rough or synthetic fabrics
• Infections of any kind
• Toxins in the body
• Injuries
• Alcohol
• Greasy foods

PRIMARY SUGGESTIONS

Arthrolife Cream – Reduces discomfort and inflammation. Arthrolife includes the following ingredients:

• Cetyl Myristoleate (CM): “Down regulates” your natural inflammation process to achieve an 87 percent reduction of discomfort (from Arthrolife’s literature) and swelling. • Vitamin E (as tocopherol acetate): Reduces risk of knee discomfort and cartilage loss, stops morning stiffness and swelling, alleviates hip pain from pressure and movement. Vitamin E compliments other joint nutrients to reduce pain and inflammation.
• Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid): Increases bone mineral density for stronger bones and spine.  Also, provides analgesic properties to reduce inflammation.
